The Biscayne National Park is a US National Park located in the south of Miami, Florida. For any diving enthusiasts and snorkeling adventures, the Biscayne Bay and its offshore barrier reefs are some of the best in the areas in the United States. The parks covers approximately 172,971 acres (69,999 ha) including Elliott Key, the park’s largest island. The park is 95% water with an extensive mangrove forest along the shoreline.
The park has four protected distinct ecosystems, namely: the shallow waters of the bay, the offshore Florida Reef, the coral limestone keys and the mangrove swamp.
